Project Epoch arrived in the private server world in July 2025 with a clear and ambitious purpose — to build a Classic+ version of World of Warcraft that took the Vanilla foundation seriously and expanded it with the kind of care and craft that the original game deserved. The community responded immediately, drawn in by custom content, reimagined class design, and a vision for Azeroth that felt genuinely faithful to what made classic WoW special while offering something entirely new at the same time.

The project continues today across two distinct realms, each offering a different way to experience the Epoch vision of Classic+ Vanilla WoW.

Kezan is the PvE realm — a world built for players who want to explore Project Epoch’s custom content, questlines, and class combinations without the pressure of open-world conflict shaping every decision they make. The economy on Kezan reflects a player base focused on progression, crafting, and community — gold flows through professions, rare materials, and the kind of collaborative endgame activity that Classic+ content is designed to support.

Gurubashi brings an entirely different energy. As the PvP realm, it attracts players who want the tension of open-world conflict woven into every aspect of their Classic+ experience. The economy here is shaped by that pressure — demand for consumables, competitive gear, and the materials that support sustained PvP activity stays consistently high, and the players who stay best funded are the ones who stay most competitive.
